Electronics Recycling

Our process is safe, efficient, and cost-effective

At ATI SecureDocs, we work closely with our clients to safely recycle old computers and electronic equipment, or destroy them when necessary. Our electronic recycling and electronic media destruction programs provide safety on a number of levels – keeping hazardous materials out of the environment, and keeping your sensitive information out of the wrong hands.

Purge Without Risk

Our computer recycling methods are a safe and effective solution to the problem of data vulnerability, for homes and businesses needing to purge old equipment with the least amount of risk possible. Many companies overlook the fact that even old photocopiers, printers, scanners, and fax machines can store data on flash storage and internal drives. This data needs to be handled properly and destroyed securely.

ATI offers a variety of Electronics Recycling services, customizing our work to your particular needs — and for every service we perform, you will receive a Certificate of Destruction to verify that the job is done.

Why Bother With Recycling?

Thanks to the sheer volume and relatively cheap cost of electronic devices, companies who rely on them for work must replace them when they inevitably wear out. As a result, e-waste is currently the fastest-growing form of waste that society produces. In 2018, the world threw away 48.5 million tons of e-waste.

E-waste can take the form of mobile phones, old copiers, stereo systems, and, of course, computer equipment. These old electronics are a rich source of hard-to-find natural materials, and it’s both cheaper and safer to reclaim them from electronics rather than mine a fresh source.

Electronics also contain many toxic materials, like cadmium and lead. Throwing these devices in the trash creates the very real risk of contamination by these materials, which can seriously harm the land or people who come into contact with them.

ATI’s zero-landfill process makes it easy to responsibly and safely recycle broken electronics, obsolete equipment, and any other e-waste.

Our Process

When you bring in your electronics for recycling, we’ll first examine them to identify any remaining storage devices. Hard drives, SD drives, and internal storage drives can still contain sensitive personal data, even if they’ve been erased. These components will be removed and securely destroyed.

When the devices have been shredded or crushed to the point of being forever irretrievable, the particles will be sent for sorting and recycling. If your e-waste does not have any remaining storage components, it will be directly sent for recycling.

Compliant, Responsible, Safe

The ATI SecureDocs computer recycling program is based on a policy of environmental responsibility and compliance with federal and state regulations. We offer complete material management solutions and remain dedicated to providing safe recycling to every client, regardless of size.

The information stored on every computer and data device we touch is considered strictly confidential, and when we recycle your electronics we take a number of measures throughout the process to ensure no information is compromised.
